re-sult!

Besides adoring C Thomas Howell in The Outsiders, I have been so excited with these stuff that I scored from online! If you follow me on Instagram (stellapangilinan), some of you might know what I'm going all crazy about, but for the first time after so long, I've finally been able to find a box sitting on the kitchen table labelled to me!

And time has gone by so fast! I can't believe the year will be ending in a month.
I'll be fourteen in less than two months!

// 01. cinnamon cookies like there's no tomorrow. really, can you guys call me the "cinnamon girl" now? no, i'm kidding. that's hysterical. but really- cinnamon cookies are the most delicious things in the world. besides bubble + milk tea and nutella + strawberry crepes, that is.

// 02. beach trip, again. 7,000 islands from where i am - what do you expect? this time we went banana boating and it was so much  fun!

// 03. goodbye inspiration place. okay, if you dig deep down in my posts, you'll find a post about my inspiration place - the beach. there is this one specific beach though, that is about two hours from where we live, that we visit regularly. and yes, it is the beach with that long wooden bridge that nobody knows about. it is the beach where i get to contemplate, sing to myself sometimes and just relax. guess what? they tore half of the bridge down, so now it's shorter than it really is. i think they're starting to close that portion of the beach, which really makes me sad. {i am more disappointed than what it may seem in this post.}

// 04. what came in the mail today? two gorgeous pairs of shoes from my grandaunt totally made my weekend. and guess what? they came from thrift stores in italy & spain! sure, they've been used a few times - but they are still brilliant, bold and beautiful. i love them so much, it hurts.

photoshop and a bundle of love

so this is what i've been doing to entertain myself in the past 24 hours. it's the last friday of my summer (nooo) and i haven't spent it well. that, i can assure.

anyway! i was home alone yesterday, i baked cinnamon cookies (as always!) and decided to experiment with photoshop. i made these images for fun, but then later decided it'd be nice to share it with you. tell me what you think!

+ below are links to each photo with higher resolutions!

+ you can do whatever you want with these little images (pinterest, tumblr, iPhone / iPod wallpapers, desktop backgrounds...) but you can't redistribute them and call them your own!

have a lovely week, everybody!!

medicines and mordor and cupcakes, oh my!

School starts in less than a week, so I've been trying to make the most of my last few days of summer with my friends....and I think you can clearly say that I haven't been making the most of this spare time to blog....blame me, blame me, I know it! I am an odd person. Notice how I had more blog posts during my school days? Kinda funny.

ANYWAY. I've been trying to make the most of what's left of my summer, but this weekend I couldn't   because I was....SICK. And it wasn't the ordinary kind of sick - like when you get a fever, stay home, have some medicines and feel better in the morning. I was sick for 5 days straight, stuck in Mordor all alone (Just kidding! it was actually just the isolation that killed me..and my terrible headaches).

  1. I reached 40 degrees at one point. (The death doors have opened.)
  2. I couldn't walk. (Getting my laptop from my desk was a chore!)
  3. I couldn't taste (worst part...they prepared my favorite food for dinner!).
  4. I was so exhausted.
  5. The medicines varied. (one little, two little three little tablets, four little, five little, six little tablets...)
  6. My tummy was a zoo (wasn't just a fever...sigh)

I was recovering during my brother's birthday sleepover, and my cousins made cupcakes for him...and everyone else. So yes, due to the consideration of the effects of eating dairy with a recovering bum stomach - I had to die while watching my cousins munch into these lovelies. (Did I mention that they baked cookies too? Cinnamon. My ultimate favorite. Awesome.)

Whatever the case, I am better now! Just one more day of rest and I'll be up and about!

Much much much much much much love, stellaloooo x

P.s: I have queued up many posts because I feel so bad about not posting so much over the past few days - and I will have a blogging break this August so heads up for those of you who might want to guest post! The sponsor buttons will also go up by then :)

Because Summer is exactly four days away...

Just a really great idea from Bella at this little, lovely blog called Life in the 852

  1. Mother's Day- Today I met a new friend. His name is Phili. I love to make new friends.
  2. Japanese Restaurants- You can never get enough of sushi, seriously.
  3. Homy restaurants- I love the feeling I get when I enter this restaurant. I love their hot chocolate, ahhh.
  4. Mom- My mom went to Bangkok on a business trip again with my aunt and brought home some lovely accessories for me to play around with.
  5. Heat- I sweat 24/7 now, the average heat goes at about 34 degrees Celsius...Hot or...?!!
  6. New book. New book. (Party dance) Insurgent, the sequel to Divergent. (Kill me, now.)

School has really taken up all the time for me to blog, read, shop and eat. For the past three weeks, I've been doing my best to leave good marks on my papers to make my parents feel proud about the new school they've put me in. And I guess, hard work and faith in God does result to good things...Being a new student does contradict with the idea of me getting any of the school's awards. It's unfair. I'm tired to ramble, but if you think about it harder, you'll understand.

But guess what? During the awarding ceremony last Friday, I was surprised when they called my name on to award me with the "Most Outstanding New Student Award" which truly surprised me and made me relieved with all the work that I had been doing in the school year, especially in the past few weeks.

God really works in his mysterious ways, and it is safe to say that good things do come to those who work hard for it!

I'm free!....for a few days...

*Bummer*

Yes, I know. A few days. What could it be this time? Well, it could be a three week trip abroad! Which will truly add vibrancy to my future posts.

I promise. I promise to the Heavens. My blog will bam this summer.

I guarantee it--one hunted and one percent.

P.S My english teacher liked my final paper (which was actually a short story), and was wondering if you guys would like to read it, somehow? :)

P.P.S Already saved my Hunger Games blog post on my desktop. It is too pretty. :) Will post it during my three week vacation  / trip :)

There are better days

Today I found myself looking for things to do. By 12:30, I was on Skype with my classmate because we had a math project to do. In between these 4 hours of work, I had my breaks which included lunch and play time. During my play time I......

-made eraser stamps
-wrote letters
-drank juice from an actual coconut
-made something out of some rope
-added a new feature on my wall

So here are some photos that I took of today...

I got some rocks from the backyard,

hello toes
and I painted them.

This one was my favorite.

What was once a dull, "same-like-everyone-else" rock now stands out among them all!

I got old erasers and cut them into shapes of bunting flags

so now my letters and my notebooks have a lovely banner! :) They're too cute and so fun to stamp with! Plus, they make letter writing more fun to do! :) It's no longer the ordinary write and sign.

I love stationaries, and little holders that hold papers or photos. Cheers to love letters to cousins and written surprises!

Tropical much??? Haha, but this tastes soooo good and it's sooo sweet! Have you ever tried juice from a coconut? If you ever come to the Philippines, (especially if you come to one of our beaches), ask for a Coconut Shake, or a real fresh coconut. You WILL NOT regret it!

I tried to imagine myself as Finnick from The Hunger Games, so I kept tying up this piece of rope I had, until I figured out was doing a braid instead of a noose, haha! I can actually use it as a bracelet, or a necklace, or a headband. Let's see. :)

And finally...the new feature on my wall! It looks so pretty in person! I should've taken a better picture. Drat. But it's okay. It's like an envelope that you could just slip things into! :) So if you send me snail mail, you'll be able to find the letters in there. I also have letters to send in there! :)

I am also reading these books now. However I'm not too satisfied with the Mysterious Benedict Society yet. Let's see how it turns out :)

So that's about it for today!! Love forevermore, Stella x

P.S If you're wondering when I'm having the Hunger Games post, it will occur sometime between now and the day after Easter. Can't promise a date! Plus, I cant slip it into a post. The Hunger Games is too holy to join a post...it needs one of its own...Hahha just kidding!! But it will have a post of its own.:)

P.P.S I'm thinking of making blog banners for people here, considering now that I have more time to do so :) Email me for more info!

P.P.P.S ++ I'm also thinking of a new blog design! I'm getting tired of this one. I really need to start thinking of layouts :\

P.P.P.P.S If you were a winner in very old blog giveaway, check your emails! Got some good news for you all :)

April 4, 2012

april 4, 2012 // wednesday

Today, my body clock functioned unusually. I woke up at 6:30 in the morning and immediately realized I was excited for something. I let my body do all the talking and just made way for my study table. Then I remembered that I prepared a schedule for myself the night before, which was (in particular) to take more pictures, to update my blog, to bake red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, and to use the computer only 20% of my free time (which later became 50%)  But don't you, bloggers and readers, also have those days when you just DON'T want to use the computer? Like you crave for something more energetic and exciting?

Then in that spilt second, I made a last minute decision that I wanted to decorate my wall with posters and papers. I did this for about two hours, just cutting off from magazines and papers, thinking of layouts and messing up my room! (Ugh, now I have to clean it up again...drat!) Those two hours of work actually paid off. (I love it when hard work pays off!) I have a pretty looking wall right now...teehee.

(the photo of my wall up there was the first photo i took. i added much more stuff too it, so...yeah.)

After lunch, I went to the local grocery to buy some ingredients for my red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. I spent another couple of hours baking the cupcakes, and today I've concluded that it is NOT easy to bake a batch of 18 cupcakes + a cake when you're all alone. {pretty dumb, right? i didn't read the total number of servings that my recipe source gave out}

Now that's one thing I like about life. Everyday, we all learn something new whether the idea seems or already is stupid or clever. I like how we, humans, dare to defy our default way of thinking.

BUT ANYWAY, back to the point. I must say, I did get to set a margin between media and I. I think I might just want to do that again tomorrow. Night lovelies!! Have a spectacular day! x

March 25, 2012

again and again

Okay. I didn't really think I wouldn't be posting for ten days, but every single day the questions kept ringing to me: "What do blog about? What to take pictures of? What to say?" And worried that I didn't give out complete answers, I decided to keep myself discreet from blogging for a little while.

The break from blogging was terrible, if you ask me. I think that the whole idea speaks for itself...(Cyber Hi-5 if you understand why! ☺)

Over those 10 days of boredom and school, the number of pictures I would take lessened each day. Thankfully, Instagram saved a little bit of my life. :)

I have been on more adventures with my Docs lately: movie watching (hunger games!!!!!!!!!), frozen yogurt eating, shopping, modeling, showing off to other people (hi), running, jumping into leaf piles (hence getting myself into trouble), stomping on puddles and taking pictures. Oh, the fun things that we are able to do together!

OKAY. WHO DOES NOT LOVE BAZOOKA!?!?! AND BAZOOKA JOE'S COMICS????! That is my childhood right there! I was so thrilled when my cousin brought us some Bazooka gum! Apparently, they restocked a local convenience store with these babies. Thank the Lord! :)

Drooling over these little ones again. And again. And again. They're just full of loveliness. I'm loving that red one on the corner.

Daily Instagram Photos. I'm thinking of adding that into every post I make. I'll choose my three favorite photos of the week/time (making sure each photo has a little story behind it) and add them unto the post!

1. Had a sleepover with the one-and-only lovely Cheska :)
2. Thrifted for some postcards and read some of their messages to pass time!
3. Am currently addicted to this game: Snoopy's Street Fair! It's so fun, haha!

Follow me on Instagram! (stellapangilinan) If you do, leave a comment below with YOUR username and I'll follow you back :) That's about it for today. I'm sorry if you were expecting more than this!

"MORE THAN THIS" reminds me of One Direction. Love those boys!
P.P.S, A Hunger Games inspired post is coming up!!!! Am so excited for it.

The Little Girls inside of Us

Behind all the makeup, the gossip mags and the boy band posters,
there is a history of pink crafted boxes, flowers and roses, bangles and gem tattoos.

There's the idea of being "Daddy's Little Girl" and "Mommy's Princess,
There are American Girl Dolls and Kit Kittredge books,

There are tiaras, fairies and magical flower lands,

There are pink things.

 costumes and clothes,

boxes of accessories and whatnot,

and there is still me.
The wee little me inside.

Sometimes I wish I were younger than I am today.
!!!!Nostalgia!!!!

guilty delays and good days

I went book thrifting, and found some childhood favorites of mine!

(Although The Secret Seven books are some of my favorites, they weren't thrifted for. My dad owned them.)

Okay, who CANNOT love The Baby Sitters Club series? Nostalgia, anyone?

All these polaroid photos have a good and memorable story behind them.

They sold these for less than three dollars in a local bookstore. I couldn't help myself!  Maybe it's about time I start reading these classics. I have always wanted to try them out.

And this is my big message to my blogger dashboard, my camera, and my lovely followers!
(How did I get 5 more followers without posting? I am stunned!)
