Rewinding Childhood Days

It's not everyday you get 100 free tickets from an amusement park here in the Philippines!
I haven't been to the amusement park here in almost years, so it was fun to visit.

Yes, I rode this roller coaster.

We had bodyguards, so even if the lines were long, we were able to visit at least 9 different attractions without waiting in line! (How blessed we were.)

What a lovely way to end December.

Reasons Why I Love Christmas

It's when people wear cute shoes.

It's when kids get the creepiest but loveliest toys.

It's when pictures are taken.

It's when music's played.

And it's when happiness comes in  billions of names.

Paying a Visit to the Doctor

Ever since my baby brother Martin got his first few injections, he's been doctor-phobic ! He doesn't want anything to do with people in long, white lab coats and stethoscopes around their necks.

Unfortunately, Martin got a bad cold and a sore throat, so he had no choice...

* DUN DUN DUN *

Martin starts getting uneasy with the situation.

Martin's getting worried.
"Oh gosh, oh gosh oh gosh, is that a stethoscope?"

Oh, poor Martin! He can't hold his tears any longer!

Here it comes...

Poor baby!

I guess everyone has their own secret fear !
Okay Martin, you ready to go to the doctor again? ; )

Four Days To Christmas

I baked Cinnamon cookies today. They taste marvelous.
Now that the baking's done, I don't know what to do.

I also got this lovely camera bag from Arianna for Christmas.
It is beyond lovely ( ! )

Currently...

I finished my English Essay.

I am wearing my pajamas.

It is a sunny day.

My room is a terrible mess.

Christmas is four days away.

I need to take pictures.

Can I buy a ticket to see you everyday?

I don't like spending Christmas far away from old friends.

New Blog Design

After three hours of research, Gimp and copy-paste magic...
TYT has a new blog design to celebrate the Holidays!!!!
Doesn't it look lovely? Well, much lovelier than the one before? How about the header? And the navigation buttons on the sidebar?

I'm really happy that I was able to use this spare time to make a better looking blog! I mean, I love pale colors and all that, but vintage looks and a spice of color definitely overrun the simple feeling. I should add this on my "Ways to feel Christmas spirit" list! If you're on your blog a lot, give your blog a festive,  Christmasy look! You could even use the littlest pixel art Christmas tree as your favicon! Oh my, another  heck load of ideas! Okay so anyway, I couldn't have done all of this loveliness without some lovely resources!

5 ways to feel the Christmas Spirit

A few days ago, I wasn't feeling any Christmas spirit at all. This disappointed me so much. I decided to think of 5 different ways to get me excited for the 25th. I started doing the 5 different things, and guess what! I was able to feel some Christmas Spirit :) If you're having trouble, try doing these 5 things...or at least a few of them. I hope they help you get the joyful Christmas spirt!

1. Frisk through all the gifts given to you. If tempted, open one.

Looking at your gifts are fine, but opening one is considered insanity! The surprise would be blown, wouldn't it? But as you look through all the gifts given to you, you have a realization that there are people out there who care to get you a gift to celebrate the occasion! You realize the joy of giving, and how the gift of doing so would affect many people. If you're cold and blue, dare to open one! You're on your own to make such a decision :)

2. Wrap your own gifts.

Although asking toy stores and department stores to wrap gifts for you to save time, home made wrapping makes Christmas even more exciting! As you wrap your gifts, you think of every person you're giving the gift to. This enables you to dig deep unto the reason why you gave this person a gift. Did this person help you with homework? Did this person help you in any way? The questions will tick. Try it out! It's nice to see the good in other people.

3. Decorate your room.

Sometimes it's the bright lights and the mini christmas trees that give you the excitement and enthusiasm of Christmas! Make yourself a stylish Christmas countdown, or hang up a bunting with lovely lights. There are tons of simple D-I-Y Christmas projects online, it wouldn't hurt to frisk!

4. Practice the joy of giving.

Sometimes the greatest things come in small packages. Buy a bouquet of flowers and some yarn. Tie up  a little strand of yarn unto the stem of each flower with a little piece of paper saying "Happy Holidays". Hand one out to everyone you see in the grocery store, or in the market. Buy small packs of chocolate and give them away to guards, janitors and people who handle toll gates on Christmas eve. You never know: a small loss for you may be the greatest gaining of another!
5. Listen to Libera

These boys of the ages between seven and sixteen sound amazing. My dad recently bought their newest album, and by golly, the tunes are beyond beautiful! Click this to listen to one of my favorite tunes by them.

Anyway, these five things helped me feel a bit more enthusiastic about Christmas. It's a holiday I definitely can't wait for. I will update this if I think of any other ways to help us, blogger and reader, to wait in eagerness for the birthday of our Savior!
Happy Holidays everyone! x, Stella

Wednesday

I hate it when you're sick, and you can't do anything but stay in your room.

In the morning, I wasn't able to update on my clutter project, and I just didn't have the vibes to take some pictures, so I decided to read Katie's blog posts on paper art.  She is amazing, and beyond inspiring! I loved viewing her blog so much that I even wanted to buy some colored paper myself, haha!

Anyway, besides that, I started to feel better late in the afternoon, so I decided to take the opportunity to take some more pictures for my blog. Here is a summary of the little things I did today in pictures.

This is an old bucket list, but it was nice to read off this old notebook of mine. It has secrets, ideas, opinions and random doodles. I think I was in the 6th grade when I made this.

Last night, I got some goodies and gifts from the Battung Girls.  They are beyond adorable, and I was so happy to get something from the mailman.

This is a book that I have been wanting to read. I'm so happy that I found it! This isn't a new book, notice the blue hues on the sides and the tips of the book.

Totally digging into the stickers that Elle sent!

My toes became Marty's food. His bites don't hurt, they tickle.

So I guess you could say that it's always good to find happiness on the rainy days! And what a coincidence, it legitimately rained today, haha!
Happy Wednesday!

The Clutter Project

My mom's been telling me that I've been owning too much clutter in my room...too many dingbats, too many notebooks, too many this and that and that and this. It's as annoying as waking at 6:00 AM for school, but through her sermons and pep talks, she's given me a pretty exciting idea!

The Clutter Project! This project that I'm implementing on my Instagram account (theclutterproject) is about the clutter in my room. This will also help me get the habit of learning to rummage into all of my closets, and learning to clean things up afterwards. Who knows? I might even find some treasure! Old socks, old toys, old notebooks...with my room, the possibilities are completely endless!

However this is only a Tease Your Toes thing, and this doesn't require any copyright or whatsoever, you can try out The Clutter Project on Instagram if you like. Tag your pictures with a #clutterproj, don't forget!

Making a bunting

I was so bored a few days ago, and it seemed like my day was just so sulked. I decided to color up my morning by making a rainbow bunting...
What is a bunting? Here is your answer!

Anyway, I decided to do something like this again.

Buntings are normally made out of fabrics, but there was a huge disadvantage for me because I didn't have any fabrics with me! The idea contradicts, but I had an idea. I decided to paint over paper.

It was a really FUN thing to do, and my morning was actually very productive!

I wil show you what the bunting looks like when I've hanged it on top of my desk. Have a happy Monday!
