A few days ago, I wasn't feeling any Christmas spirit at all. This disappointed me so much. I decided to think of 5 different ways to get me excited for the 25th. I started doing the 5 different things, and guess what! I was able to feel some Christmas Spirit :) If you're having trouble, try doing these 5 things...or at least a few of them. I hope they help you get the joyful Christmas spirt!
1. Frisk through all the gifts given to you. If tempted, open one.
Looking at your gifts are fine, but opening one is considered insanity! The surprise would be blown, wouldn't it? But as you look through all the gifts given to you, you have a realization that there are people out there who care to get you a gift to celebrate the occasion! You realize the joy of giving, and how the gift of doing so would affect many people. If you're cold and blue, dare to open one! You're on your own to make such a decision :)
2. Wrap your own gifts.
Although asking toy stores and department stores to wrap gifts for you to save time, home made wrapping makes Christmas even more exciting! As you wrap your gifts, you think of every person you're giving the gift to. This enables you to dig deep unto the reason why you gave this person a gift. Did this person help you with homework? Did this person help you in any way? The questions will tick. Try it out! It's nice to see the good in other people.
3. Decorate your room.
Sometimes it's the bright lights and the mini christmas trees that give you the excitement and enthusiasm of Christmas! Make yourself a stylish Christmas countdown, or hang up a bunting with lovely lights. There are tons of simple D-I-Y Christmas projects online, it wouldn't hurt to frisk!
4. Practice the joy of giving.

Sometimes the greatest things come in small packages. Buy a bouquet of flowers and some yarn. Tie up a little strand of yarn unto the stem of each flower with a little piece of paper saying "Happy Holidays". Hand one out to everyone you see in the grocery store, or in the market. Buy small packs of chocolate and give them away to guards, janitors and people who handle toll gates on Christmas eve. You never know: a small loss for you may be the greatest gaining of another!
5. Listen to Libera
These boys of the ages between seven and sixteen sound amazing. My dad recently bought their newest album, and by golly, the tunes are beyond beautiful!
Click this to listen to one of my favorite tunes by them.
Anyway, these five things helped me feel a bit more enthusiastic about Christmas. It's a holiday I definitely can't wait for. I will update this if I think of any other ways to help us, blogger and reader, to wait in eagerness for the birthday of our Savior!
Happy Holidays everyone! x, Stella
